Anjuna Beach

Arriving in Panaji, Goa, we find it strange to be surrounded by clothes shops, Western cafe's and churches: there is a sad lack of cow traffic.

Now we are in Anjuna, on the coast. Here is less modernised, and the bizarre contrasts between old and new (as is obvious throughout India) are again noticed.

It is a beautiful, quirky place. The sea is warm and everything is said with a smile.

Not much cow traffic here either, though we do get the odd horse. Have a good relaxing time on the beach! Xx Mum

Hello you two :-)
The picture of the beach is beautiful- is that one of you standing in the foreground? You look pretty tiny, so the place is more expansive than it looks at first. I wonder if you've been swimming amongst the rocks in the sea...?
I'm so excited because it's Monday, and there's only one full day left in this country now! I'm remembering back to how you were before you left and recognising the feelings you had about the journey, the sense of really not knowing what to expect. I'm flying to Mumbai first, and then transfering 5 miles to terminal two internal flights.
Think of me at about 4pm on Wednesday for I will be setting off.

So where are you now? If still in Goa then get down to the tibetan kitchen if still there for the best grub you'll probably ever eat. No cow traffic here either mostly drunk people thinking they can sing!!
